
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, former Minister for Education and Vice-Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has joined the nation in mourning the passing of former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.
In a heartfelt social media tribute shared today, Dr. Opoku Prempeh noted that he and his wife participated in Ghana’s collective honouring of the late stateswoman.
“Today, my wife and I joined Ghana in honouring the life and legacy of Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings,” his message read.

He highlighted her enduring impact, describing her lifelong dedication to women’s empowerment, dignity, and national development as a legacy that will continue to motivate many.
According to Dr. Opoku Prempeh, her work transcends her tenure as First Lady, emphasizing that her advocacy for women’s rights and national progress will remain a lasting source of inspiration for generations to come.
He ended his tribute with a prayer for eternal peace, saying:
“May her soul rest in perfect peace.”
