Gospel musician Ebenezer Osei Kumi dies after weeks of illness

Ghanaian gospel musician Ebenezer Osei Kumi has died after battling an illness that led to his admission to the Nyaho Clinic in Accra for several weeks.
His death was confirmed by fellow gospel musician Sammy Young in a post on Facebook, bringing an end to the health battle that had recently raised concerns among colleagues, fans and members of the gospel music fraternity.
Osei Kumi had been receiving medical attention at the Nyaho Clinic after his condition reportedly deteriorated.
Reports published earlier in September indicated that the musician had been admitted to the facility with a liver infection and had spent more than a week receiving treatment.
