Bawumia engages young medical professionals over training, postings and welfare concerns
Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has engaged the leadership of the Junior Doctors Association (JDA), the Federation of Ghana Medical Students Association (FGMSA) and presidents of medical students’ associations from across the country over challenges confronting young medical professionals and students.
The meeting, according to Dr Bawumia, focused on some of the critical issues affecting medical students and young doctors, including training conditions, timely postings, welfare and career progression.
Dr Bawumia disclosed this in a post on his social media platforms, saying the meeting provided an opportunity for an open and honest discussion about the concerns of the young professionals who would play a major role in Ghana’s healthcare system in the future.
