- The Central East Regional Police Command as part of the efforts to clamp down on activities of some criminal elements before, during and after the festive season, has conducted a series of intelligence-led Swoops within the Kasoa old market, Awutu Breku, Gomoa Buduata, Senya Breku and its environs respectively.
- The targeted swoops which took place in the early hours of 16th and 17th December, 2025 across the mentioned areas led to the arrest of thirty -three (33) Suspects.Some of the suspects had substances suspected to be Indian hemp and some quantities of Tramadol in their possession. Forty-five (45) motorbikes were impounded in the process One (1) toy gun was also retrieved. Verification and documentation checks are ongoing in respect of all the motorbikes while the arrested suspects are being screened as part of investigations. Those found culpable will be put before court to face justice.
- The Command urges the general public to be minded of the following security precautions;
Avoid carrying of large sums of money.
- Move in the company of others especially at odd hours.
- Riders should comply with the use of crash helmets.
Avoid drunk- driving, over speeding and observe road traffic regulation.
Avoid movement alone in secluded areas.
- The Regional Police Command appreciates all stakeholders and extends its compliments during this festive season to all within the jurisdiction. The Command acknowledges the cooperation of all in the protection of life and property, maintenance of law and order throughout the year and also commends all Police Officers within the region for their unwavering commitments in ensuring effective Policing.

preparedness in ensuring a crime free festive period and further warns that persons who commit crimes will be arrested and made to face the full rigours of the law.
