NSA Assures National Service Personnel of Imminent Allowance Payments

The National Service Authority (NSA) has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the prompt payment of allowances to National Service Personnel across the country, assuring stakeholders that steps are being taken to clear outstanding arrears. In a statement issued by Management, the Authority emphasised that service allowances are essential to supporting personnel during their mandatory service year and stressed that every eligible individual deserves timely payment of their stipends. Prosecution yet to serve Osei Assibey Antwi with a hearing notice

Lawyers for Mr Osei Assibey Antwi, former Executive Director of the National Service Authority have told an Accra High Court that the accused person has not been served with any document to report to Court. Paa Kwesi Kuboadzi, Counsel for the accused, said, unfortunately for today’s case they were not given any notice. He said, "I was called about an hour ago to appear in court. That is why I am naked." The Counsel, who was not properly dressed in the profession's dress code of black and white with the wing, prayed that the prosecution give the defence ample notice so that they may properly appear in Court. NSS persons react to President Mahama’s SONA military training proposal
