Forty-Four Ghanaians Rescued from Fraudulent Recruitment Network in Nigeria
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has confirmed that forty-four Ghanaian nationals have been successfully rescued from a fraudulent recruitment operation in Nigeria.
The rescue follows an earlier public warning issued on March 13, 2026, cautioning against the activities of QNET and similar schemes that lure unsuspecting individuals with false promises.
According to the Ministry, the victims were deceived through social media platforms and informal recruitment channels with offers of lucrative employment and international travel opportunities. However, upon arrival in Nigeria, they were subjected to harsh and exploitative conditions, including restricted movement, psychological pressure, and coercion to recruit others into the scheme.
