GHANA ARMED FORCES INTENSIFIES SECURITY OPERATIONS IN BAWKU AND NEIGHBOURING AREAS
The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has escalated its security operations in Bawku, Nalerigu, and adjoining communities in response to renewed instability in the region. The intensified operations, which commenced on Tuesday, 29th July 2025, involve both ground and aerial manoeuvres aimed at restoring law and order.
In a statement issued by the Acting Director General of Public Relations, Captain VA Arhin of the Ghana Navy, the military urged all peace-loving residents in the affected areas to fully cooperate with security personnel. This includes strict compliance with the newly adjusted curfew hours, which now run from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., replacing the earlier 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. restriction.
