The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the unlawful possession of a firearm, narcotic substances, and suspected stolen items, following an intelligence-led operation in the capital.
The suspect, identified as Suleiman Danjumah, also known as Solomon Addai and Innocent, was arrested on 10th December 2025 by a joint team from the Accra Regional Police Command and the Police Intelligence Directorate (PID). His arrest comes barely two weeks after he was granted bail by the Adabraka Court on 25th November 2025 for an earlier offence involving a Smith and Wesson pistol and 30 rounds of 9mm ammunition.
During the latest operation, police found the suspect in possession of another unregistered firearm. A subsequent search led to the recovery of a 9mm Parabellum Arcus 94 pistol, a set of military uniforms and caps, a Police-issued Huawei handset, four assorted mobile phones, a shocker, a jack knife, 34 blisters of Tramadol 225mg, and an unregistered jungle motorbike.

Further investigations revealed that the suspect admitted to dealing in narcotic substances at Las Vegas, Achimota. He also confessed to firing warning shots during an altercation with another suspected drug dealer, Mutala Mohammed. Mutala was later arrested, and a search of his premises uncovered two parcels of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and 19 blisters of Tramadol 120mg, popularly known as “Red”.
The suspect further mentioned Usman Ali as the source of the firearm. Police have since launched efforts to locate and arrest the said individual. Preliminary checks also confirmed that the Police Huawei handset retrieved from the suspect had been stolen from a police officer.
Both suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations. All recovered narcotic substances have been retained as exhibits and will be forwarded to the Police Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis. The suspects are being processed for court.
The Accra Regional Police Command has reiterated its commitment to combating the circulation of illegal firearms and narcotic drugs within the region. The Command also urges members of the public to continue providing credible information to support police efforts in maintaining peace and security.
