Police Intercept Truck Carrying Suspected Narcotics; Two Arrested for Attempted Bribery

The Ghana Police Service has intercepted a truck carrying a large consignment of suspected narcotic substances following an intelligence-led operation by the Tema Regional Police Command. According to police reports, the operation took place in the early hours of 15 February 2026 at about 12:10 a.m. when officers from the Regional Patrols Unit stopped a Sinotruck tipper truck with registration number GN 993-14 at Sege Akpla Manya in the Greater Accra Region. The vehicle, which was loaded with fertilizer sacks, was found to contain 3,009 slabs of plant material suspected to be cannabis. Suspect Arrested in Accra for Illegal Firearm, Narcotics, and Stolen Property

The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the unlawful possession of a firearm, narcotic substances, and suspected stolen items, following an intelligence-led operation in the capital. The suspect, identified as Suleiman Danjumah, also known as Solomon Addai and Innocent, was arrested on 10th December 2025 by a joint team from the Accra Regional Police Command and the Police Intelligence Directorate (PID). Tema Police Arrest Suspect in Narcotics Case at Ashaiman

The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested a man, identified as Francis Alidu, for his alleged involvement in the unlawful possession of narcotic drugs, in violation of Section 37(1) of the Narcotics Control Commission Act, 2020 (Act 1019). According to a police statement signed by ASP Dede Dzakpasu, Head of Public Affairs, the arrest followed intelligence shared by the Ho Police Command on Friday, 31st October 2025, at about 9:10 p.m. The information indicated that a commercial bus driver had earlier been arrested in Ho with quantities of compressed substances suspected to be Indian hemp, and that the intended receiver of the consignment was located in Ashaiman.
