POLICE ARREST THREE SUSPECTS IN CONNECTION WITH VEHICLE ROBBERY CASES IN ASHANTI REGION

The Ashanti North Regional Police Command has successfully apprehended three individuals believed to be involved in a series of vehicle-related robbery incidents that occurred in parts of Kumasi and Offinso in the Ashanti Region.

The suspects, identified as Omar Ahmed, Kwaku Sarpong (alias Obinim Sticker), and Abdul Salam Yahaya, were arrested at their respective hideouts following a well-coordinated, intelligence-led operation conducted by police personnel.

According to preliminary investigations, the suspects are alleged to have been part of a criminal network responsible for multiple robberies involving stolen vehicles within the region. Law enforcement officers have since intensified efforts to retrieve the stolen vehicles and apprehend any remaining accomplices linked to the group’s activities.

The Ashanti North Regional Police Command has assured the public of its unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents. The Command also expressed appreciation to community members who provided timely information that contributed to the successful operation.

Meanwhile, the suspects are currently in police custody assisting with ongoing investigations, after which they will be arraigned before court.

The Police further urge members of the public to remain vigilant and to report suspicious activities or persons to the nearest police station to help curb criminal activities in their communities.
