President John Dramani Mahama is co-chairing the High-Level segment of the global One Health Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, positioning Ghana at the forefront of global health leadership.
The summit brings together world leaders, health ministers, and international experts to develop coordinated solutions for strengthening health systems, promoting sustainable food production, and addressing pressing global health challenges.
President Mahama is scheduled to deliver two key keynote addresses during the summit. His first address will take place during a session on Global Health Architecture, co-chaired by President Macron and Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization. The session will focus on reforms to global health systems and the endorsement of a Political Declaration aimed at enhancing international health cooperation.

In his second keynote, President Mahama will open the High-Level segment for heads of state and government. He is expected to outline Ghana’s vision and commitments to global health security, emphasizing the country’s leadership in promoting collaborative and cross-sectoral approaches to emerging health threats.
