The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) has released a public notice outlining key directives for essential government workers and institutions as part of the funeral and burial arrangements of the late Asantehemaa, in line with directives from the Manhyia Palace.
In the statement signed by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the ARCC emphasized the importance of maintaining order, security, and dignity during the period of mourning.
Among the directives issued are:

- Identification and Uniforms – All essential government workers are required to wear their official service uniforms and carry valid identification cards at all times.
- Use of Official Vehicles – Essential workers are encouraged, as much as possible, to commute to and from their duty stations using official government vehicles.
- Compliance with Movement Restrictions – Exempted institutions and essential workers must fully cooperate with security personnel and regulatory agencies enforcing movement restrictions.
The Council expressed its appreciation to all stakeholders for their cooperation in ensuring a smooth and respectful observance of the funeral rites.
The passing of the Asantehemaa is a significant event in Asanteman, and these directives are aimed at safeguarding both tradition and public order throughout the mourning period.
