Vice President of Ghana, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has expressed profound gratitude after being enstooled twice in a single day during traditional celebrations in the Volta Region.
The Vice President received the rare honour during two major cultural festivals, underscoring her growing symbolic recognition within traditional leadership circles and highlighting the enduring relevance of Ghana’s cultural heritage.
She was first enstooled as Mama Adjagba I of Kedzi during the 2026 Norvikporgbe Za Festival. Later in the day, she was again honoured as Mama Tortsogbe I of Sokpoe at the 40th edition of the Tortsogbeza Festival.

The Vice President described the dual recognition as a reflection of the deep value of Ghana’s cultural traditions and the importance of preserving such heritage in ways that contribute meaningfully to national development.
She reaffirmed her commitment to the responsibilities associated with the titles, calling for the continued support of the chiefs and people of Kedzi and Sokpoe to advance shared growth, opportunity, and progress in the communities.
Vice President Opoku-Agyemang also congratulated the traditional leaders and residents of both towns for the successful and vibrant celebrations, describing the festivals as a strong testament to Ghana’s rich cultural identity and unity.
The enstoolment ceremonies form part of wider efforts across Ghana to strengthen cultural preservation while promoting community development and national cohesion through traditional leadership structures.
