Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang Celebrates Krachiwura’s 25 Years of Leadership

The Vice President of Ghana, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has joined the people of Krachi in commemorating the 25th anniversary of the enstoolment of Krachiwura Nana Mprah Besemuna III, praising his enduring legacy of unity and transformational leadership.

The anniversary celebration, held under the theme “25 Years of Transformational Leadership: A Call to Revive Our Heritage and Rebuild Our Alliances,” brought together traditional leaders, community members, and dignitaries to honour the Krachiwura’s contributions over the past quarter century.

In her address, the Vice President highlighted the critical role of chieftaincy in preserving cultural heritage, maintaining peace, and fostering unity within communities. She commended the Krachiwura for his continuous efforts to unite chiefs and strengthen traditional authority, noting that such leadership is vital to Ghana’s broader development agenda.

According to her, in the face of increasingly complex development challenges, collaboration between government and traditional institutions remains indispensable. She emphasized that where traditional leadership is stable and respected, development initiatives are more effectively rooted and sustainable.

The Vice President reaffirmed government’s commitment to deepening decentralization, strengthening district assemblies, and ensuring that development reaches grassroots communities across the country.

She concluded by expressing gratitude to the Krachiwura for his distinguished service and applauded the organizers for a successful celebration. She also offered prayers for the continued legacy of unity, peace, and service under his leadership to inspire future generations.
