Shatta Wale Freed from EOCO Custody After Bail Terms Revised
Dancehall icon Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has been released from the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) after spending nearly two days in detention.
His release follows a revision of the initial bail conditions, which had drawn significant public attention. Shatta Wale’s manager, Samuel Atuobi Baah, also known as Sammy Flex, confirmed to JoyNews that the original bail sum of GH¢10 million was reduced to GH¢5 million, with two sureties to be justified.
In addition to the new terms, the musician is required to report to EOCO three times a week while investigations continue.
