Trader Arrested in Sabon Zongo for Possession of Dangerous Drugs and Unlicensed Firearm
A 30-year-old trader, Amidu Mohammed, has been arrested and charged by the Greater Accra Regional Police Command for the possession of dangerous drugs and an unlicensed firearm in Sabon Zongo, a suburb of Accra.
According to police reports, the arrest followed intelligence gathered by the Accra Regional Intelligence Team, which identified Mohammed, a shop operator, as being involved in the possession and distribution of suspected restricted drugs.
During an initial engagement with police, the suspect admitted to having quantities of the drugs in his possession and also confessed to having sold some to an individual in the area.
