Minority Caucus Seeks Information on Petition for Removal of Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie

The Minority Caucus in Parliament has formally written to the Presidency requesting information on the current status of a petition calling for the removal of Supreme Court Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie. The request, made under Article 21(1)(f) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 18 of the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2019 (Act 989), was signed by Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib (Esq.), Second Deputy Minority Whip. President Mahama, Justice Baffoe-Bonnie to witness swearing-in of GJA executives

President John Dramani Mahama and the Acting Chief Justice, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, are expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected National Executives of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) on Friday, July 11. The ceremony will take place at 0900 hours at the Accra International Conference Centre. A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said Justice Baffoe-Bonnie would administer the oaths of office to the incoming national leadership, following the Association’s national and regional elections held on Monday, June 30, 2025.
