Ghana Condemns Ill-Treatment of Citizens at Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport

The Government of Ghana has expressed strong protest and deep concern over what it describes as the ill-treatment of Ghanaian nationals by Israeli authorities at the Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv. In an official statement issued on Tuesday, the government said it has observed with grave concern that since Sunday, December 7, 2025, Ghanaian travellers arriving in Israel have allegedly been deliberately targeted and subjected to inhumane and traumatic treatment at the airport. According to the statement, seven Ghanaian nationals were detained at the airport without justifiable cause on the day in question. GNFS entreats citizens to support the fight against fire outbreak  

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in the Ashanti Region has entreated citizens to support the fight against fire outbreaks by following fire safety precautions.   According to the Service, majority of fire outbreaks in the region could be prevented through proper safety measures and awareness.   Divisional Fire Officer (II), Mr Peter Addai, the Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional GNFS, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that, the GNFS only had 26 fire tenders serving all the 43 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in the region.   Some of them are old and out of operation because of frequent breakdowns.    “Due to the limited number of fire tenders in the region, a tender serves about three to fou...

Passion for Needy supports elderly citizens in Tema Newton    

Passion for Needy, an NGO, has presented assorted items to the elderly and single parents at Tema Newton in the Greater Accra Region.    Each of the beneficiaries includes rice, oil, canned fish, vegetable oil, tomato puree, biscuits, soft drinks, bottled water, and new pieces of cloth and scarves.    Mrs Janet Torgbor El-Aschkar, the Chairperson of the organisation, said the gesture was due to three economic challenges they faced and was hopeful that the "widow's mite" would make a difference in their lives.    The donation, she said, was from the instruction of the late Senior Prophet T.B.
