Vice President Visits Collapsed Building Site, Commends Rescue Efforts
Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has visited the Accra New Town Experimental School following the collapse of a multi-storey building on the premises, describing the response by emergency services as commendable while calling for stricter adherence to building regulations.
During the visit on Monday morning, the Vice President received a detailed briefing on the incident. She was accompanied by the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, as well as personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces, including the 48 Engineer Regiment, the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana National Fire Service, the National Ambulance Service, and the National Disaster Management Organisation.
