The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals in connection with a robbery and extortion incident at Wangarakrom, near Tarkwa in the Western Region.
The suspects, identified as Kwame Mumuni and Awal Benjamin, were apprehended on March 31, 2025. During the arrest, police retrieved several exhibits, including a red unregistered Suzuki motorbike, military camouflage tops, three pairs of boots, a torchlight, a black face mask, and an amount of GHC 645.00 in cash.
The suspects are currently in police custody and will be arraigned before the court to face justice. The police have assured the public of their commitment to maintaining law and order while urging citizens to provide any information that may assist in crime prevention efforts.
