Police Arrest Two More Suspects in Fuo Shooting Incident

The Northern Regional Police Command has announced the arrest of two additional suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of Yakubu Mohammed Habib, which occurred on February 26, 2025, at Fuo, a suburb of Tamale.

The suspects, identified as Abdul-Majeed Abdulai and Abdul-Majeed Saeed, were apprehended on Saturday, May 24 and Monday, May 26, respectively, after being declared wanted by authorities for their alleged roles in the incident.

Their arrests follow the earlier detention and prosecution of two other suspects, Baba Habib and Alhassan Fuseini, who were previously put before the court in relation to the same case.

The police have not yet disclosed the specific roles each suspect is believed to have played in the murder, but investigations are ongoing to gather further evidence and ensure justice is served.

In a statement, the Ghana Police Service reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all individuals involved in violent crimes are held accountable. “We remain committed to bringing all perpetrators of crimes to justice,” the statement read.

The arrest of the two additional suspects marks a significant step forward in the ongoing investigation into the Fuo shooting, which has deeply shaken the local community.
