Ho West DCE hands over six-unit classroom block project at Tsito

The Ho West District Assembly has handed over a six-unit classroom block project to a contractor for construction at Tsito Methodist Basic School to enhance educational infrastructure in the district.

The GH¢1.7 million project, to be executed by FRADOFIL Construction Limited within six months, will provide six classrooms with auxiliary facilities to ease congestion and improve teaching and learning.

At the handing-over ceremony, Mr. Francis Profer Dusey, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ho West, said the project formed part of government’s broader agenda to expand access to quality education. He assured that the contractor had the necessary support for timely delivery.

“Education is the foundation of development, and this project demonstrates our commitment to providing children with the best learning environment,” Mr. Dusey said. He added that the Assembly would closely monitor progress to ensure adherence to specifications and timelines.

Representatives of the Member of Parliament for Ho West, Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, commended the Assembly for prioritising education and pledged continuous support for initiatives to uplift standards of learning in the district.

Community leaders and clergy welcomed the project, describing it as a timely intervention, and appealed for more educational facilities to address other pressing needs.

The contractor is expected to move to site immediately, with completion targeted before the end of the academic year.
