The Western North Regional Police Command has arrested a total of fifty-six (56) suspects during a series of intelligence-led operations conducted as part of Christmas special security measures across the region.

The operations were carried out in several communities, including Sefwi-Bodi, Asawinso, Dadieso, Juaboso, Akontombra, Sefwi Debiso, Enchi, Sefwi Bekwai, Donyina, and Bidiem. The coordinated exercise formed part of proactive policing efforts aimed at preventing crime and ensuring public safety before, during, and after the Christmas festivities.

According to the Police, the arrests followed sustained intelligence gathering and targeted swoops on identified crime-prone areas. The suspects were picked up for various offences, while investigations continue to determine their level of involvement in criminal activities.

The Police Command has assured the public that all suspects will be screened and those found culpable will be put before court in accordance with the law. Security patrols and intelligence operations will also be intensified throughout the festive season to maintain peace and order in the region.

The Western North Regional Police Command has further urged the public to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely information to help combat crime and ensure a safe and peaceful Christmas celebration.
