Two individuals, Joseph Boateng, alias Small pepper, 37, and Hashiru Zurukanini, alias Scare them, 27, have been sentenced to seven years imprisonment each for defilement and abetment of defilement, respectively.
This is contained in a release signed and copied to the Ghana News Agency by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mr. John Nchor of Public Affairs Units of the Oti Regional Command.
The convicts were arraigned before the Jasikan Circuit Court, presided over by Mr Lambert Yinigabague Keriba.

According to the Prosecution, the suspects were arrested on May 22, 2025, after they lured a 15-year-old girl to the house of Boateng at Kadjebi Cocoa Market with a promise of giving her GH¢2,000 for a charm.
Upon arrival, Boateng allegedly forced the victim to have sexual intercourse with Zurukanini, a driver, under the guise of using Zurukanini’s sperm for the charm.
The accused persons were charged with abetment of defilement and defilement, and after trial, they were found guilty.
The court sentenced each to seven years’ imprisonment with hard labour.
