The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man at the Asankrangwa Education Area on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
According to preliminary investigations, the deceased was chased by a group of individuals, including the two suspects, before being stabbed multiple times. Police say the attack stemmed from a prior misunderstanding between the victim and one of the suspects, identified as Kwasi Opong.
Swift police action led to the arrest of Kwasi Opong (36) and William Francis Osei (23). Both are currently in custody, assisting with investigations. Authorities confirmed that another suspect is still on the run and efforts are underway to apprehend him.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Asankrangwa Catholic Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
In a statement, the Western Central Regional Police Command assured the public that all individuals involved in the crime will be brought to justice and urged anyone with relevant information to assist the investigation by contacting the Asankrangwa Police.
