Teshie Traditional Council Partners with Papillon Marketing to Promote Youth Entrepreneurship and Urban Renewal

The Teshie Traditional Council has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Papillon Brand & Marketing Specialist to champion youth entrepreneurship and fast-track urban development in the coastal town of Teshie.

This strategic collaboration is not only designed to unlock local potential, nurture innovation, and reposition Teshie as a vibrant hub for enterprise and cultural revitalisation but also marks a significant step in efforts to integrate traditional leadership with modern development strategies.

Papillon, a pan-African firm comprising branding, marketing, and fintech experts, is expected to spearhead a series of community-based initiatives.

These include skills development workshops, digital storytelling campaigns, eco-tourism branding, and town planning consultations, all focused on building sustainable economic opportunities for the youth.

“This partnership is purpose-driven and deeply rooted in community impact. At Papillon, we believe branding is not just about aesthetics, but about unlocking the soul of a place. Teshie has untapped potential, and our goal is to help uncover it, amplify it, and support systems that enable youth to thrive,” a spokesperson for Papillon said.

The firm emphasised that urbanisation should go beyond infrastructure and focus on building communities anchored in innovation, value, and identity.

The official launch of the initiative was attended by a host of revered traditional leaders including Gbetsoolo Nii Ashitey Akomfra III, Member of the National House of Chiefs and the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs, Nii Ashikwei Kwaobotswe II, President of the Teshie Traditional Council, and Nuumo Adjei Sankuma III, Teshie Dzasetse and Divisional Chief of Lenshie, among others.

Other dignitaries present included Osabu Ayiku Wulomo, Nii Kotey Afutu Brempong IV (Klemusun Mantse), Nii Nmerteh Aku I (Pantang Mantse), Nii Amartey Kwei III (Ayim Mantse), Nii Laryea Brenya I (Kweiman Mantse), Nii Odaitei Samsam (Odaiteiman Mantsɛ), Nii Adjetey Okpey III (Teshie Shikitele), Nii Adzei Wawadzan II (Teshie Woleiatse), Nii Mensah Tukwowenim (Akwashontse), and Nii Martey Sanshie IV (Shibulor Atofotse).

Describing the partnership as a “new dawn for local governance,” the Teshie Traditional Council underscored the significance of blending traditional authority with corporate innovation to drive inclusive development.

“This marks a turning point for Teshie. With Papillon’s expertise, we are laying a foundation that empowers our youth, strengthens our identity, and redefines the urban experience,” said the Council.

The implementation phase of the partnership begins this quarter and will focus on economic empowerment through entrepreneurship training, tourism promotion, and brand-led urban development, positioning Teshie as a model coastal community driven by local talent and tradition.
