A delegation from the Abutia Traditional Council has paid a courtesy call on the Volta Regional Minister, Mr. James Gunu, at the Residency in Ho to extend their congratulations and draw attention to key developmental challenges facing their communities.  The delegation was led by the Ho West District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. Francis Profer Dusey, and included chiefs and elders of Abutia.  In their discussions, the delegation highlighted several pressing concerns such as; The poor condition of roads linking Abutia to other parts of the district has hampered transportation, access to markets, and socioeconomic development.  They said many communities in Abutia continue to struggle with limited access to potable water, posing health risks and affecting daily life.  ...

James Gunu donates exercise books to Wlitey RC Primary School

A total of 500 customised exercise books have been handed over to pupils of Wlitey RC Primary School in the Akatsi South Municipality of the Volta Region. The gesture, from Mr James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister and former District Chief Executive for Akatsi North, was presented by Mr Daniel Dagba, the MCE for Akatsi South on behalf of Mr Gunu. Mr Dagba explained that Mr Gunu’s donation would motivate the pupils to thrive in academic excellence. He entreated them to behave well both at home and during school hours. Volta Regional Minister donates laptops to GJA and state media outlets
