Ghana’s Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has intensified his crackdown on cyber-enabled crimes, following the arrest of a woman seen in a widely circulated video physically attacking a man. The suspect, Esther Nana Afia Sarfowaa, was apprehended on Wednesday, 27th November 2025, by the IGP’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team at Subriso, in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency of the Ashanti Region. A second individual, Stephen Ofori, was also arrested at Nkawie in the Ashanti Region for his alleged involvement in the same incident.
