Budo City-Bogoso junction road construction takes off-as Gold Fields cuts sod
The Gold Fields Ghana Foundation has cut the sod for the construction of a 2.1-kilometer road from Budo City junction to Bogoso junction in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region.
The project valued at GH¢11. 6 million is slated for two years but the contractor has assured the Foundation that it would be completed within a year.
The works to be undertaken include, the construction of culverts, gutters, pavement, road markings, speed ramps and multiple layers of sealing for durability.
Addressing a gathering at the event, Mr Abdel-Razak Yakubu, the Executive Secretary of GFGF, said one of the pillars of the Foundation was infrastructure development, and that they have been tasked to champion this cause in the communities they operated in.
