Curfew Imposed on Binduri Township Amid Security Concerns
The Government of Ghana has imposed a curfew on Binduri Township and its surrounding communities in the Upper East Region, effective Monday, March 24, 2025. The curfew, which runs from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily, was announced by the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak (MP), following recommendations from the Upper East and North East Regional Security Councils.
The decision comes in response to growing security concerns in the area. In a statement issued from Accra, the Minister called for calm and urged residents to prioritize peace and cooperation during this period of heightened tension.
