Tema Metro Education Directorate initiates self-help office project
The Tema Metro Education Office has launched a self-help project to provide a befitting modern office edifice after operating from different premises for the past six decades.
The initiative follows a failed promise and earlier plans by the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) some years back to provide the directorate with an office after being ejected from the premises of the TDC Company Limited alongside other public institutions.
Madam Bernice Ofori, the Tema Metro Education Director, during the launch, said the directorate was a key administrative body which oversees schools at the pre-tertiary level, ensuring that educational standards were maintained across the about 300 schools and over 1000 pupils within Tema Metro.
