Old Tafo MP Petitions President Mahama Over Alleged Desecration of National Monuments by LGBTQ+ Activists
The Member of Parliament for Old Tafo Constituency, Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah, has formally petitioned President John Dramani Mahama over what he describes as the “desecration of Ghana’s sacred monuments” by homosexual activists.
In a strongly worded letter dated Thursday, June 26, 2025, Hon. Assafuah expressed deep concern over the circulation of photographs purportedly showing two homosexual individuals posing deliberately at iconic national heritage sites — the Independence Square and the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum.
