The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested 34-year-old Robert Kwabena Boamah in connection with the brutal murder of a 23-year-old woman in Abuakwa. According to a press release from the Public Affairs Unit of the Ashanti Regional Police Headquarters, Boamah was apprehended on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at his hideout in Namong, near Offinso. His arrest follows investigations into the murder of Dorothy Owusu Annor, also known as Maa Dabea, whose body was discovered on Monday, April 21 near the Mighty Jesus Educational Complex in the Tanoso Electoral area of the Kwadaso Municipality. The case of Constable Smith Gyekyi, the policeman accused of shooting a man at Kuntunse over alleged transport fare dispute, has been adjourned to February 20. At a district court at Kotobabi in Accra, prosecution, led by Chief Inspector Apewa Achana, told the court that they were still awaiting the Attorney General’s advice on the matter after forwarding a duplicate to the said office.
