According to the Speaker, some MPs and ministers have allegedly been accepting appointments to various boards, committees, and external positions without seeking permission, which is a constitutional requirement. The suspension of four Members of Parliament (MPs) by the Speaker of Parliament has been welcomed by some citizens in the Hohoe Constituency of the Volta Region.
