Police Arrest Suspect for Unlawful Possession of Firearm and Ammunition in Western Region
The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested a man for unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition in the community of Aponteng Krom.
The suspect, identified as Yahaya Seidu, was apprehended after being found in possession of a locally manufactured pistol. Upon questioning, he failed to provide any legal justification for carrying the weapon.
A police search led to the retrieval of one locally manufactured pistol and two live cartridges from the suspect.
According to authorities, Yahaya Seidu is currently in police custody and is assisting with ongoing investigations. He is expected to be arraigned before court soon.
