Two Arrested for Possession of Suspected Indian Hemp in Eastern Region

The Eastern North Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals, Hawa Ibrahim and Latifa Adams, for possessing a large quantity of suspected Indian hemp. The suspects were apprehended on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, during an intelligence-led operation in Antokrom, Eastern Region. A search of Hawa Ibrahim’s residence uncovered 24 maxi bags containing 1,650 slabs of compressed and ball-shaped substances believed to be Indian hemp. Both suspects are currently in custody and assisting police with investigations. Authorities have confirmed that the suspects will be processed through the legal system.
