The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested five individuals in connection with an armed robbery at a mining site in Dompim, located in the Western Region of Ghana.
According to a police statement, the incident occurred when five armed men stormed the mining site, firing gunshots and robbing workers of gold concentrate. The swift response of workers at the scene led to the immediate arrest of one of the suspects, Akwasi Abban, who was apprehended during the attack.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Akwasi Abban confessed to participating in the robbery.
