Cyber Security Authority, Police Crack Down on SIMbox and Online Fraud Syndicates

In the first operation, which spanned three locations around Sakumono in the Greater Accra Region, security agencies dismantled a sophisticated SIMbox fraud operation. According to the Authority, disturbing posts with inappropriate language and troubling intentions—including phrases such as “we go scatter them” and threats of “snatching people’s husbands”—have been widely shared online, drawing public concern.
