Nine Suspects Arraigned Over Darkuman Violent Attack

The Accra Regional Police Command has arraigned nine suspects before the Adabraka District Court in connection with a violent assault on one Mutala Yayaa at Darkuman on September 10, 2025. A video of the incident, which has been widely circulated on social media, shows the complainant being brutally attacked by a group of men. According to police reports, the suspects allegedly used dangerous weapons, including a cutlass, axe, and scissors, leaving the victim with deep wounds on his head and body. Volta Police secure 19 year jail term for armed robber in Ho

The Volta Regional Police Command has secured a major legal victory with the successful conviction and sentencing of a notorious armed robber, Paul Avortide, popularly known as “Tinted.” The 25-year-old was handed a 19-year sentence with hard labour by the Ho Circuit Court on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Court grants fake doctor GHC100,000.00 bail

An Accra Circuit Court has granted GHC100,000.00 bail to Frederick Papa Kow-Assifuah, the fake doctor who was arrested at Kasoa Crispo in the Central Region, with two sureties to be justified. The sureties should be justified with a landed property while the land’s certificate should be deposited with the Court’s Registry. Court Jails Man 15 Years for Motorbike Robbery in Upper West Region

The Wa Circuit Court has sentenced a 20-year-old man, Nawaf Abdulai, to 15 years imprisonment for his involvement in a series of motorbike robberies in the Upper West Region. According to a police statement, the suspect, together with an accomplice, Awal Abass—who is currently at large—robbed two victims of their Haojue and Luojia motorbikes bearing registration numbers M-21-449 UW and M-17-4607 UW, respectively. The robbery occurred on March 6, 2025. In a swift response, the Upper West Regional Police Command arrested Nawaf Abdulai at his residence on March 8, 2025. Two friends, who stole gold bearing stones valued GH¢15,000 from a grinding machine shop in Kaniankor Top, a suburb of Nsuaem, have been sentenced to a total of 16 months' imprisonment in hard labour by the Tarkwa District Court One. Businessman in court for allegedly defrauding 18 rent seekers GHC100,000 

A 48-year-old businessman, Jennings Tetteh Cole, who is accused of defrauding 18 rent seekers of over GHC100,000, appeared before an Accra Circuit Court on Wednesday.  He faces 18 counts of defrauding by false pretenses but has pleaded not guilty to the charges.   The complainants reportedly paid amounts ranging from GHC3,000 to GHC9,200 to the accused.  Jennings has been granted bail in the amount of GHC150,000.   He had promised to refund the money to his victims, but according to the prosecution, led by Chief Inspector Ramata Asumah, he has not returned any of the funds.  The case has been adjourned to January 20, 2025, with the court, presided over by Mr. Bright Samuel Acquah, instructing the prosecution to file their disclosures.  C...
