IGP Leads Delegation to Bawku After Violent Incident Claims Life
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has led a high-powered delegation to Bawku following a violent clash between some youth and the police that left one person dead and several others injured.
The delegation, which includes officers from operations, investigations, and intelligence units, is in the Upper East town to gain first-hand insight into the security situation and to assess the needs on the ground.
The violence, which erupted on April 9, 2025, resulted in the tragic death of Fuseini Iddrisu. Five others, including a police officer and an immigration officer, sustained gunshot wounds and are currently receiving medical treatment.
