Police Arrest Five Suspected Robbers in Kumasi; Two Linked to Murder at Asokore Mampong
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested five suspected robbers in two separate intelligence-led operations across the Kumasi Metropolis, including two suspects linked to the robbery and murder of a 28-year-old woman at Asokore Mampong.
Addressing the media on Monday, December 15, 2025, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Arthur Osei Akoto, said the arrests form part of sustained security operations aimed at curbing violent crime in the region.
According to the Police, two of the suspects were arrested in connection with the robbery and murder of Silver Ngozi, a 28-year-old female, which occurred on December 6, 2025, at about 5:00 p.m. at Asokore Mampong.
