Ashanti Regional Minister Urges Return of Items Taken from Helicopter Crash Site

The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) has issued a stern appeal to residents who may have taken parts of the helicopter or personal belongings from the site of Wednesday’s tragic crash to return them immediately. According to intelligence gathered by the ARCC, some individuals who were among the first to arrive at the crash site on August 6, 2025, collected various items, including pieces of the aircraft and personal effects. Ashanti Region Secures Two-Year Contract for Street Light Maintenance

In a major step toward improving safety and security across the Ashanti Region, the Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has announced a two-year contract with Prefos Company Ltd. to maintain key sections of the street lighting network. This initiative, facilitated through the intervention of the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Agbodza, has been awarded through the Highway Authority. The maintenance contract will cover two critical routes like Ejisu Abenase to Tech Police Station and Suame to Buoho and other areas.
