Ghana's build up to next month’s FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar has received a significant boost with the arrival of Technical Advisor, Winfried Schaeffer. Schaffer, who arrived in Accra Monday night, was met on arrival by Black Stars Assistant Coach Desmond Ofei. The German tactician was appointed in January to provide technical guidance and oversee the development of football in Ghana. His role also involves working closely with the Technical Directorate to develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the GFA. In an innovative and inclusive step towards addressing plastic waste and building a resilient and sustainable city, the youth team in Active Minds Reading Club is building the capacity of children in basic schools as part of a Youth Recycling Project in Accra. This project is part ofthe Youth Climate Action Fund under the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), and with support from Bloomberg Philanthropies and United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG).
