Shatta Wale Granted GHC10 Million Bail, Remains in High Spirits – Management

Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has been granted bail set at GHC10 million after being questioned by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) over the purchase of a luxury vehicle.

The musician voluntarily appeared before EOCO on Wednesday but was detained overnight while his lawyers worked to satisfy the bail conditions, which require two sureties.

Confirming the development, Samuel Atuobi Baah, a member of Shatta Wale’s management team, said arrangements were underway to meet the bail terms.

“They want to give him bail of 10 million cedis with two sureties, and I can assure you that management and legal officers are working on it,” he noted.

Earlier reports suggested the car in Shatta Wale’s possession was linked to criminal proceeds. However, Mr. Baah dismissed those claims, insisting that investigators had cleared the musician of any involvement in money laundering.

“After interrogation, it became clear that Shatta is not engaged in money laundering. Those allegations are false. The matter is about how he paid his taxes on the car, and that is what is being examined,” he explained.

Despite the ongoing process, Baah said the award-winning artist was in good spirits and grateful for the overwhelming support from fans.

“I spoke to him and he is doing well. He thanks the fans for their support,” he added.

Shatta Wale, known for his outspoken personality and influence in the Ghanaian music industry, continues to draw significant public attention. His management has urged supporters to remain calm as the case unfolds.
