The Accra Regional Police Command has announced comprehensive security arrangements ahead of the Ablekuma North Parliamentary Re-run scheduled for today, Friday, July 11, 2025.
In a statement signed by Superintendent Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs for the Accra Region, the Police assured the public of their readiness to ensure peace and order before, during, and after the electoral exercise.
The Electoral Commission has designated nineteen (19) polling stations within the constituency for the re-run. Police personnel will be stationed at all these locations to maintain law and order, ensure voter safety, and prevent any acts of electoral violence or disruption.

Additionally, the Police will be actively monitoring both vehicular and pedestrian traffic around the polling zones. Strategic barriers will be mounted to restrict unauthorized access to sensitive electoral areas and safeguard the integrity of the voting process.
The Police Command has appealed to the general public to fully cooperate with officers on duty and to strictly observe electoral regulations. Residents have been urged to contribute to a peaceful electoral atmosphere by reporting any suspicious activity or individuals to the Police via emergency hotlines 18555 or 192.
Superintendent Obeng emphasized that the Command is committed to supporting a free, fair, and incident-free election in Ablekuma North, urging all stakeholders to play their part in upholding peace and democracy.
