The Ghana Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at the Adjin Kotoku Onion Market on 5 April 2026.
According to the Police, the arrest followed a coordinated intelligence-led operation carried out after a disturbance at the market. The incident prompted the deployment of surveillance officers from the Special Operations Assistant (SOA) to the Inspector General of Police to restore order and gather intelligence.
On 8 April 2026 at about 3:00 pm, the operational team successfully arrested the suspect, identified as Inusah Seidu, aged 40, at his hideout within Adjin Kotoku. He is believed to have been directly involved in the shooting incident that disrupted activities at the busy market.

The arrest took place within the vicinity of the Adjin Kotoku Onion Market, a key trading hub known for onion distribution and daily commercial activity.
The suspect is currently in police custody assisting ongoing investigations. Authorities say efforts are also underway to identify, locate, and arrest other individuals who may have been involved in the incident.
