The Presidential Elections Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in collaboration with officials from the Electoral Commission of Ghana, has successfully conducted the official balloting exercise for the Party’s Presidential Candidates ahead of the upcoming Presidential Primary scheduled for January 31, 2026.
Following a transparent and orderly process, the candidates will appear on the ballot paper in the following order:
- Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong
- Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong
- H. E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
- Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum
- Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong
The exercise, held under the supervision of Electoral Commission officials, was marked by cooperation and mutual respect among all representatives of the presidential aspirants.

In a statement issued and signed by Mr. William Yamoah, Secretary to the Presidential Elections Committee, the Committee expressed its profound appreciation to all candidates, their representatives, and officials of the Electoral Commission for their support and decorum throughout the process.
“The Committee reaffirms its unwavering commitment to transparency, fairness, and the highest democratic standards in the conduct of the Presidential Primary,” the statement emphasized.
The January 2026 Presidential Primary will determine the NPP’s flagbearer for the 2026 general elections, as the party seeks to maintain its legacy of credible internal democratic processes and unity ahead of the national polls.
