The Accra Regional Police Command has arraigned nine suspects before the Adabraka District Court in connection with a violent assault on one Mutala Yayaa at Darkuman on September 10, 2025.
A video of the incident, which has been widely circulated on social media, shows the complainant being brutally attacked by a group of men. According to police reports, the suspects allegedly used dangerous weapons, including a cutlass, axe, and scissors, leaving the victim with deep wounds on his head and body.
The accused persons have been identified as Bernard Tagoe, alias Asa Sese, Nii Eric Martey, Michael Lokko, Felix Adu Mensah, Habib Gusamu, Solomon Assan, Kwame Khalid, Jacob Addy, and Gideon Arthur. Four other suspects, said to have participated in the attack, are currently on the run. They include individuals known only as Yaala, Show, Joseph Gattor, Savess, and John Km.

In court, all nine suspects pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and causing harm. They were remanded into police custody and are expected to reappear on September 29, 2025.
Meanwhile, the police say efforts are underway to apprehend the other suspects mentioned to assist in investigations.
The Accra Regional Police Command has cautioned the public against resorting to violence in settling disputes and has urged community members to use lawful and peaceful means to resolve grievances.
