MTN rewards loyal customer with Dubai trip in Mother’s Day Promo 

MTN Ghana has crowned its 2025 Mother’s Day celebration by awarding a round-trip ticket to Dubai to Bernard Yaw Nkrumah, a customer who accumulated the highest loyalty points on its MTN Rewards platform.  

Speaking at the award presentation in Accra, Sandra Oduro Antwi, Acting Senior Manager for Consumer at MTN Ghana, highlighted the importance of recognising mothers and loyal female customers who have consistently supported MTN’s services.  

She said May was not just another month, but it was a time to celebrate women as pillars of families and communities. 

“Our Mother’s Day celebration was grand, we treated a number of women to a luxurious lunch at a Hotel with musical performances and thoughtful gifts. To crown it all, we partnered Emirates to give one lucky customer an unforgettable experience,” she said. 

She said the grand prize, which was a round-trip ticket to Dubai was awarded to the MTN customer with the highest redemption of loyalty points.  

Mrs Antwi explained that thousands of women had participated by simply using MTN’s voice, data, SMS, and mobile money services and encouraged customers to take advantage of the MTN Rewards platform, which continues to offer value-based incentives.  

“With Emirates now an official part of our rewards programme, customers can redeem points for discounted airline tickets and enjoy up to 12% off Emirates flights,” she said. 

She also hinted at upcoming surprises for Father’s Day, urging customers to download the MyMTN app to access ongoing and future promotions. 

Speaking on behalf of Emirates, Mr. Circil Tenkorang expressed delight in celebrating mothers through the partnership and emphasized the long-standing collaboration with MTN, dating back to 2014 via the CUGO platform. 

“At Emirates, we don’t just connect destinations but we build meaningful connections with brands that value their customers,” Mr. Tenkorang said.  

“This promotion is a demonstration of our shared vision to create unforgettable experiences. We are proud to sponsor this ticket to Dubai and look forward to welcoming the winner aboard Emirates,” he said. 

He added that Dubai remains one of the world’s top premium destinations and expressed excitement about deepening the Emirates-MTN partnership to reward more customers in the future.
