Ghana Bar Association Mourns Victims of August 6 Helicopter Crash

The Ghana Bar Association (GBA) has joined the nation in mourning the eight Ghanaians who tragically lost their lives in the August 6, 2025 helicopter crash while en route to Obuasi for a national assignment.

In a statement dated August 7, 2025, and signed by National President Mrs. Efua Ghartey and National Secretary Kwaku Gyau Baffour, the GBA expressed “profound sorrow” over the incident, describing the deceased as “patriotic Ghanaians” who died in the line of duty.

The association extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Ghana, noting the nation’s deep loss. “May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, comfort the bereaved families. Our prayers are with the bereaved families,” the statement said.

The GBA also prayed for the eternal rest of the departed souls, adding that their service to the nation will be remembered.

The fatal crash, which claimed the lives of two cabinet ministers, other government officials, and three military officers, has sparked nationwide grief and tributes from various institutions and individuals across the country.
